WNC - 12.6.23 - Brayden Takes Another

Holiday shopping crowds at Mullins Crossing weren’t enough to keep the chess players away! 11 players participated in 4 rounds of quick chess, while a another half a dozen stayed for casual games until nearly 9pm.

Brayden took all 4 points on the night, surviving some very dubious positions but never letting up on the attack! The decisive match was between Brayden (1758) and Erik (1759) in round 3, the first board was a massacre as the two highest rated players traded off material. Brayden edged out the win in a pawn endgame keeping his results perfect on the night!

Standout performances by Jalen (846) who earned 2.5 points on the night and Hailey (931) who took a full point from Rusty (1301) for the biggest upset of the night!
